This is my perspective project.
If only I had had more time to work on it, I would have created a freakin masterpiece! But alas, life just isn't on your side sometimes and I had not near as much time as I would have wanted. It looks more like my simple one-point perspective sketch than like any of Alessandro Papetti's AWESOME works.
So a couple things about it: if you couldn't tell, the thing at the back where the vanishing point is is a bridge. The blue thing by it is the river it's going over. And the gray shadows at the very back is the city across the river. So yeah...just in case you didn't know that....I tried really hard to work with the shading and shadows and it does look a lot better than my other stuff but not like it could.
Title: The City Across the River
Size: 8.5" x 11"
Media: Pencil, ruler, and colored pencils
THIS IS REALLY REALLY GOOD! I think it's a masterpiece already!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks, Kaden!
DeleteThis is definitely not sad and lame. Lol I think it is great. All your lines are perfectly straight, all buildings point toward the vanishing point, and you added a ton of detail and color. It is the complete opposite of sad and lame if you ask me. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha thank you :) You're sweet :) I was just not satisfied with how it turned out I guess.
DeleteI like how big and open it is instead of just a street corner like mine. It has so much detail. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI think this is awesome! love the details and colors!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used different colors for the building, it adds a lot to the whole look of the artwork. I also like your attention to detail. Great job!
ReplyDeleteUmm yeah that is not sad and lame, that is incredible! Everything is perfect, and not a single line is off! It actually looks like it is supposed to.
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Jenna :) I was in a quite dramatic and sad mood when I published it so that's why the lamenting haha :P
DeleteYou did great on this! I love that all the colors are there but no overwhelming. And how you got all the windows pointing to your vanishing points. Nice job :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why you said this was bad... It is amazing! 100 times better than mine :) I really like how much detail you put into it and how did the colors, and pretty much everything about it. Amazing job!
ReplyDeleteHaha thank you, Taylor :) I loved yours though so don't go dissing it :P

DeleteI really like the texture you put into this and how the colors and shading make it pop and seem more realistic. You could work on getting out of your comfort zone though. It seems too perfect. Don't be afraid to mess up, it could make your picture!
ReplyDeleteThat's good advice, thank you! :)
DeleteWhat a creative drawing! I love the distinction you made between the different buildings. I also love the texture and colors you used, it makes it looks really real! Great job.
