Week 1 Quarter 2: Play!

After getting acquainted with the clay in the Shapes project, we got to play around with it and create whatever we wanted! I had a lot of fun with this!! :)

Weekly Drawing: Week 1 Quarter 2 - Laundry

This first week of the new quarter, our weekly drawing assignment was to draw laundry! :)
I took a little bit of freedom when I did it and chose not to draw a pile of laundry, and instead drew clothes stacked in and hanging in a closet. I thought I would be able to better show the shadows of the clothes this way....but I couldn't haha...not really.
This is actually my second attempt at this project. I wanted it to look better so this is try #2! It took SO LONG despite how simple it looks.
This first picture is what the sketch looked liked before I added any color or detail.

This is the final project.

Weekly Drawing: Week 10 - Left Hand

We were supposed to draw either a tree or our right hand USING our left hand or our non-dominant hand....this is what became of my attempt. It felt so weird and I wanted to switch hands so bad! Its looks like something a 5 year old would draw haha! I guess I am VERY dominantly right-handed.

Weeks 9 & 10: Cityscape Project

This is my perspective project.
If only I had had more time to work on it, I would have created a freakin masterpiece! But alas, life just isn't on your side sometimes and I had not near as much time as I would have wanted. It looks more like my simple one-point perspective sketch than like any of Alessandro Papetti's AWESOME works.
So a couple things about it: if you couldn't tell, the thing at the back where the vanishing point is is a bridge. The blue thing by it is the river it's going over. And the gray shadows at the very back is the city across the river. So yeah...just in case you didn't know that....I tried really hard to work with the shading and shadows and it does look a lot better than my other stuff but not like it could.

Weekly Drawing: Week 9 - Imagination

This week's weekly drawing was to draw something from our imagination. Anything at all! And I had SUCH a hard time with it! I could NOT think of what I wanted to draw! Finally Mr. Wiechmann said to just start drawing and see what would happen, so I did, and this is what happened. Yes, this is what I think about....and daydream about. How solemn and not fun am I?
I tried to work on shading with this project and I obviously need to work some more on it....I copied the door from a picture so no, it's not my own creation...technically...
