Final Project

So....here it is.
In my eyes, this isn't done. I hung it up on the wall behind me and I'm just going to keep on adding to it. I'm always going to see little things I can do to improve it, and I'll never truly be happy with it! I realized that, which is why I turned it in.
Working on it has been an awesome experience :)

Title: The Ultimate Confrontation: The Flower and the Bayonet
Size: 22" x 25.5"
Media: Black (permanent, I found out) watercolor

  1. I think that this looks great. You did an amazing job on the shading. I like the soldiers the best, they look really detailed. You can tell you spent a lot of time on this.

  3. You can tell you put a lot of time and work into this. It looks amazing! It's a very interesting image on its own, but I think the smudging of the shades makes it look even more interesting. Great job!

  5. Wow! I really like the shading, detail, perspective...ah, what am I saying? I love this whole picture! I love the way how it is painted and how the brush strokes compliment the picture instead of looking like a whole bunch of random strokes. Great job!

  6. I love how you only used the color black to create the whole image! It shows how shading can really make a picture. The soldiers are what I like best in this picture.

  9. Wow, you're amazing Frances! You're so talented! I am terrible with drawing people, so I'm extremely jealous of you! My favorite part is the soldiers -- the detail is incredible. The shading just adds to the mood, and its all so.... fitting. Great job!
